WEBSTER - Theodore F. “Ted” Kawiaka, 78, of Webster, died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 in Radius Healthcare Center, Southbridge, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 46 years, Stasia B. (Jolda) Kawiaka; a daughter, Susan M. Levesque and her husband Mike of Putnam, CT; 3 grandchildren, Briana Patriarca of Danielson, CT, Rick Patriarca of Mobile, AL and Michael Levesque of Putnam, CT; nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a sister and several brothers.
He was born and raised in Worcester, the youngest child of Michael and Anna (Zwolinski) Kawiaka, and lived in Webster since 1965.
Mr. Kawiaka was a technician at Coca Cola Company. He worked in Worcester and then in Westborough before retiring after 35 years with the company.
Ted was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica and of the Friends of the PAV. He belonged to the Local Teamsters Union in Worcester.
His family wishes to thank Accord Adult Day Care, Radius Healthcare in Southbridge, and Overlook Hospice and special caregivers Annette “Marcia,” Collette, Angela and Lynn for all their loving care.
The funeral will be held Saturday, October 29, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. A calling period will be from 8:30 to 9:30 AM Saturday, October 29, in the funeral home. Donations in his name may be made to St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA 01570 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
