Obituary

METHUEN – Joseph Abdallah 91 of Methuen died Monday October 24, 2011 at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.

Born and educated in Lawrence he was the son of Simon and Frances Abdallah. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army, received the American Theater Campaign Ribbon, the African Middle Eastern Theater Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a painter and belonged to the painters union before his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion Post 122 in Methuen, the VFW Arnold Greenwood Post, where he served as past commander, past adjutant and past color guard. In 1955 he was an assistant scout master. He enjoyed traveling.

He leaves his wife of 70 years Doris M. (Casey) Abdallah of Methuen, MA. One son Joseph A. Abdallah and his wife Judith A. of Methuen, MA.
One sister Amelia Oliver and her husband Herman of Green Cove Springs, FL
Two grandchildren Jody Lyn Gaumond and her husband Rick of Methuen, MA and Joseph Abdallah of Nashua, NH.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery also in Methuen, MA.
