WORCESTER___Elizabeth R. “Betty” (Skomrock) Krounialis, 94, of 1050 Main St., died Wednesday March 3 in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center. Her husband, William Krounialis died in 1975.
She leaves a sister, Adele L. Londergan of Worcester; three nephews, Richard P. Londergan of Shrewsbury; Walter N. Londergan and Ronald Smith both of Cape Cod; and a niece, Carol Ann Smith of Milford. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Skomrock and a sister, Anna Smith. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Humphrey and Mary (Mociunas) Skomrock and lived here all her life.
Mrs. Krounialis was a member of Our Lady of Vilna Church, the Lithuanian Womens Club, the Worcester Democratic City Committee and the Elder Affairs Council. She was a longtime volunteer for the Easter Seals Society, the Age Center and the St. Vincent Hospital Gift Shop. She graduated from Commerce High School.
The funeral will be held on Saturday March 6 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 12 NOON in St. Casimir’s Church, 41 Providence St. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday March 6 in the funeral home.
