Alan Bell Nicholson, 61, of Clarksville passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011, at Alive Hospice in Nashville. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at 4:00 P.M. at Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Harriet Bryan Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home and Wednesday from 2:30 P.M. until the hour of service at Salem United Methodist Church.
Alan was born November 17, 1949, in Clarksville, Tennessee. He is the son of Rufus J. Nicholson, Sr. and Louise Stroud Nicholson. He was retired and a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Nicholson (Clarksville); one daughter, Angelyn Nicholson (Portland, OR); one son, Adam Nicholson (Seoul, Korea); two brothers, Steve and Nicky Nicholson and their wives, Patsy & Sandy (Clarksville); and one sister, Sue Powers (Clarksville).
