Obituary

Miss Jeanie D. Riendeau, of Taunton, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 23 at her residence. She was born 86 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Henry V. and Margaret (Ramsay) Riendeau. She was educated in Taunton, having graduated from Taunton High School in 1943, and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as an operator for the former New England Telephone and for A.T. & T. for 46 years, where she was noted for her unblemished attendance record. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. She was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Parish and the former Immaculate Conception Church in Taunton.
She leaves: 1 sister: J. Shirley Caron and her husband, Carlton A. of Taunton; a sister-in-law: Loretta B. Riendeau of Taunton, and her nieces and nephews: Carlton H. Caron and his wife, Joann of Taunton, Lori Caron Silveira of Rehoboth, Sheri Stevens and her husband, Craig of E. Taunton, and Rick Riendeau and his wife, Karen of Taunton, and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. Jeanie was also the sister of the late Henry T. Riendeau of Taunton.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Wednesday, October 26 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
