Obituary

Frank “Nippy” Agostinelli 80, of Framingham, died Friday, October 21, 2011 at the Mary Ann Morse Nursing Home in Natick.

He was the beloved husband of the late Rita R. (O’Hara) Agostinelli, who died in 2002 and with whom he shared 46 years of marriage.

A Framingham resident for 55 years he was born in Natick the son of the late Claudio and Rose (Mantoni) Agostinelli.

Mr. Agostinelli was a skilled artisan and glazer for Hub Glass Company of Somerville where he worked for 44 years.

He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades Union of Boston.

He was a longtime member of the Columbus Society of Framingham enjoying the clubs Bocce League, was a member of the Marche golf and bowling league and was a former member of the St Linus golf league.

Mr. Agostinelli was an avid sports fan and loyal Braves baseball fan starting with the original Boston team and now as the Atlanta Braves.

Nippy was known for his warm and positive personality, sense of humor, and had a unique ability to develop friendships with people of all ages seemingly within minutes of meeting them.

Most important of all, the love and devotion for his family and his cherished grandchildren.

Mr. Agostinelli was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a graduate of Natick High School class of 1949.

He is survived by two sons Dean F. Agostinelli and his companion Josie Jelks of Redwood City, CA, Richard J. “Rick” Agostinelli and his wife Kathleen of Cumberland, RI one daughter Joan P. Agostinelli of Santa Cruz CA, one brother Henry Agostinelli of Ashland, one sister Theresa Muto of Natick, five grandchildren Kia Cronan, Liam Cronan, Matthew Agostinelli, Emily Agostinelli, Tenzin Rose and many nieces and nephews and his special friend Ellen Hartford of Weymouth.

He was also the brother of the late Adamo Agostinelli and James Agostinelli.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, October 26, at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10: A.M. in St Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverly Street Framingham.

Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Interment St Tarcisius Cemetery
