Oscar F. Johnson, Jr. "Slick" 92 passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Pastor Ray Dunning officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the service. Pallbearers will be Cliff Clark, Robert Pickford, Victor Gray, Roger Gray, Mike Dachtler, Dorothy Dachtler. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born November 30, 1918 in Clarksville, TN. He is the son of the late Oscar Johnson, Sr. and Anna Linden Johnson. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, Korea and the Phillippines. He was also a member of the First Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Oscar Johnson, Sr. and Anna Linden Johnson. Four brothers; Swan, Nel, Harold and Axel Johnson.
Survivors include, his wife; Myrtle A. Johnson of Clarksville. Two sisters; Gertrude Johnson,Clarksville and Edna Clinard of Harrisburg, KY. On-line condolences can be made at www.neal-tarpley.com
