Obituary


Jamieson, Philip Donald, 83, of Plymouth formerly of Belmont, on October 21 after a short illness. Beloved husband of Helene (Connors) Jamieson of Plymouth. Exceptional father of Donald Jamieson of Plymouth, Christine Heleter of Arlington, Philip and his wife Donna Jamieson of Yarmouth, Peter Jamieson of Mashpee, Mark and his wife Dorothy Jamieson of Abington, Matthew and his wife Kelly Jamieson of Woburn, Helene and her husband Edward Damarjian of Georgia, Maribeth Jamieson and partner Carol O’Brien of Plymouth. He also leaves 6 grandchildren and was grandfather of the late Courtney Ann Jamieson.

Philip was born in Cambridge, son of Donald and Margaret (Murphy) Jamieson. He graduated from Cambridge High and Latin School. Philip served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was an award-winning sales representative for VWR Scientific. Philip enjoyed spending time with his family and was a member of the Bonnie Seniors at St. Bonaventure’s Parish.

Funeral from the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd. (Rte 3A) Plymouth (Manomet) on Monday, October 24, at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Bonaventure’s Church at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home Sunday October 23, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Burial will be in the Belmont Cemetery, Belmont, MA
