Obituary

David A. Whitehorn, 52, of Derry, NH died Wednesday October 19, 2011 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry. David was born in Stoneham, MA on April 11, 1959, the son of Robert and Iris (Dinarello) Whitehorn. He was raised and educated in Melrose, MA, graduating from Melrose High School in 1977. David later attended and graduated from Husson College in Bangor, ME with a BS in Business Administration. He had resided in Derry since 1997, formerly living in Gray, ME. David was co-owner of Whitehorn & O’Neil Kitchen and Bath Unlimited in Manchester, NH. An avid sports fan, he played basketball on a men’s league at the Derry SportsZone, and softball for the Calvary Bible Church softball team. David was also a member of the local BNI group.
He is survived by his wife, Chrissie (Bevens) Whitehorn of Derry, one son, Tyler Whitehorn of Derry, one daughter, Dayna Whitehorn of Derry, his parents of Gilford, NH, three sisters, Deborah Chandler of Duxbury, MA, Margaret Harriman of Shapleigh, ME, and Maria Votsch of Arlington, VA, also several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Calling hours were held on Sunday October 23, 2011 from 2 – 5pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Funeral services were held on Monday at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial followed in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody, MA.
