Manchester- Marie M. LaForce, 98 died October 18, 2011 at the Mt. Carmel Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Berlin on December 8, 1912 the daughter of Honore and Demerise (Sylvain) Montminy and had been a longtime resident of this city.
Prior to her retirement she had worked for the Federal Housing Authority.
She held membership in the Association Franco Americaine, les Dames de St. Anne, l’Alliance Francaise and a parishioner of St. George Church.
She was predeceased by her husband Atty. F. Maurice LaForce who died August 30, 1953 and a son Edouard LaForce who died in January 2008.
Members of her family include three sons, Atty. Pierre LaForce of Washington, DC., Dr. Marc LaForce of Arlington, VA., Louis P. LaForce of Goffstown; two daughters, Lise Tanner of Ballwin, MO., Michelle Huffman of Henniker; eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 PM at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral
Home, 110 Bridge St.. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 9 AM in St. Joseph Cathedral, Pine St.. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Central Falls, RI at a later date.
