Lucy Phillips, 91, Clarksville, TN, formerly of Rock Springs in Charlotte, TN died Monday October 17, 2011 at Waterford Assisted Living. She was born December 15, 1919 in Montgomery County daughter of the late William Turner Sinks and Alma Rowland Sinks. She was also preceded in death by two sons, William Moore "Bill" Phillips and James Donald Phillips; two brothers, George Sinks and Bobby Sinks; and a sister Christine Sinks Smithey.
She was a member of Rye's Chapel United Methodist Church and had retired from Shraders.
Survivors include daughter Carol Wall (Burney), Southside, TN; grandchildren, Michelle Traylor (Paul), Clarksville; Jennifer Wall, Southside; and Gregory Kevin Phillips, TX; and six great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jared Traylor, Gregory, Charles, Matthew, and Sarah Phillips.
A Celebration of LifeService will be held on Thursday at 12 PM at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Brother Jim Robinson and Rev. Paul Sitton officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Paul Traylor, Ray Wolfe, Jared Traylor, Jacob Traylor, Ronnie Travis, Russell Brown, Bill Sinks, Brenn Sinks, and Marty Green.
