Alice (Pereira) Ferreira, age 83, of Somerset passed away Oct. 16, 2011. She was the wife of the late Oliver Ferreira and the daughter of the late Manuel & Ermelinda Pereira. Prior to retiring, Alice worked as a greeter for Wal-Mart and had previously worked for Har-Lee Mfg. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas More Church, a member of the Mother of Twins Club, and an avid cook.
Alice was the mother of Richard Ferreira of East Freetown, Barbara Ferreira of Phoenix, AZ, Maria Gastall & Emily Zawerucka both of Somerset; sister of Adeline Garcia of Somerset, Mary Rocha & Emma Relvinha both of Fall River, and the late Dorothy Correia; grandmother of 6; great grandmother of 3; & aunt to several nieces & nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on WEDNESDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas More Church, Somerset at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours TUESDAY 4-8 P.M.
