Lincoln, Neb. - Thomas S. Morey, 53, of Lincoln, formerly of Brockton, Mass., and East Bridgewater, Mass., died unexpectedly Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004 at his home.
Born April 17, 1950 in Brockton, he was a son of the late Raymond E. Sr. and Joan T. (Mack) Morey.
He was raised in Brockton and East Bridgewater and graduated from East Bridgewater High School, Class of 1968.
Mr. Morey received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Northeastern University and a law degree from Suffolk University Law School in Boston.
He was an attorney for more than 20 years and was a the legistrative aide for John F. Parker.
Mr. Morey was a former member of the Plymouth County Bar Assoc. and former Assistant District Attorney for Plymouth County.
He is survived by two brothers, Raymond E. Morey Jr. of Maine and James F. Morey of East Bridgewater; three sisters, Patricia E. Morey and Karen M. Bonney, both of Marshfield and Diane T. Farrell of Springhill, Fla., and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Wales-Prophett Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater, followed by funeral Mass at 11 in St. John Church, East Bridgewater. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in East Bridgewater.
