John C. Waters, 68, of Natick, died Wednesday October 12, 2011 at his home.
He was the beloved husband of Barbara B. (Begley) Waters with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.
A Natick resident for 42 years, he was born in Waltham, the son of the late John C and Jennie Mae (Hinxman) Waters. Mr. Waters worked for 37 dedicated years for the Town of Natick Department of Public Works as Foreman for the Land Facilities and Natural Resources Division. He enjoyed bowling at Sellew’s Fairway Lanes with the East Natick Mixed Bowling League, and golfing with the St Linus Golf League. He was an avid fisherman, both deep-sea, and close by his home at Lake Cochituate. Mr. Waters attended the Waltham School system and graduated from Waltham High School class of 1960.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter Donna E. Bird of Natick, two sons John E. “Jack” Waters of Millis, Justin M. Waters of Natick, one brother Kenneth Waters of NY, one sister Cynthia Nichols of FL, and two grandchildren, Amanda Bird and Samantha Sweetser. He was also the brother of the late Frances Morrill.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday October 16, from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. in the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common. Private burial will take place at Linwood Cemetery in Weston.
