George J. Shaheen, 98, of Putnam Pike, died Thursday, October 13, 2011. He was the husband of the late Mary (Panaccione) Shaheen.
Born in Providence, a son of the late John and Sahari (Abrams) Shaheen.
He was a self employed Handyman.
He is survived by his children, Georgianna Garcia of Port Richie, FL, Robert Shaheen of Johnston, George Shaheen, Jr of Scituate, Daniel Gill of East Providence, Darren White of San Diego, CA, and Stephanie Ceceri of Glocester, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, his sisters, Suzane Romano and Josephine Babota, both of Warwick. He was the brother of the late John, Abraham, Joseph, Moran, Simon and Thomas Shaheen and Julia Abrams.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9AM from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. George’s Church in St. Raymond’s Church, 1240 North Main Street, Providence. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 4-7pm.
