Obituary

Anne P. (Arab) Lafranchise age 85, of Bridgewater died Wednesday October 12, 2011 at St. Joseph Manor with her husband Ernest at her side. They had shared 52 years of marriage. Anne was born in Brockton a daughter of the late Bolis and Mary (Malik) Arab and has been a resident of Bridgewater for the past seven years having previously lived in East Bridgewater for many years. She was a graduate of Brockton Hospital School of Nursing and received her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Boston College. She had been a Nursing Instructor at Brockton Hospital School of Nursing and had also been a supervisor at the former Hallmark Nursing Home, East Bridgewater. Anne had enjoyed over 20 years of winters in Florida. She was fond of traveling, golf, walking, gardening and was a terrific chef. She was a life long member of St. Theresa Maronite Catholic Church.
In addition to her husband she is survived by many nieces and nephews and her in-laws Joseph and Lucille LaFranchise of Brockton. She was the sister of the late Samuel, Peter and James Arab.
Services of the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Theresa Maronite Catholic Church 343 North Main St., Brockton Friday at 12noon. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours omitted.
