Obituary

Adrien H. “Sonny” Fournier, 77, of Manchester, died October 10, 2011 at Elliot Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester on February 17, 1934 to Adrien A. and Antoinette (Langlois) Fournier. He was a graduate of Manchester area schools and the Vocational Technical School. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Fournier worked for Liberty International Trucks in Manchester for many years and attended numerous training schools for that company.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 79 and was an avid hunter.
He enjoyed time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren.
The family includes his wife of 52 years, Doris A. (Desrosiers) Fournier of Manchester; four children, Doreen Montminy and her husband, Guy, of Chichester, Denise McCullough and her husband, Tom, and Lynn Hopkins and her husband, Jon, all of Hooksett, and Dan Fournier and his wife, Beth, of Goffstown; six grandchildren, Sonya Montminy, Tyler McCullough, Stephen Hopkins, Sam Hopkins, Travis Fournier and Nathan Fournier; a sister, Dolores Roy of Goffstown; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a grandson, Bryan Montminy.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, October 14, 2011 at St. Pius X Church, corner of Candia Road and Sarto Street, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Augustin Cemetery, South Beech Street, Manchester.
