O’Donoghue, John F. of Quincy, passed away October 9, 2011 at the age of 46.
A 1983 graduate of Quincy High School, John served in the U.S. Navy as an Electronic Warfare Operator / Naval Aircrewman on the P-3 Orion aircraft. He later worked as an x-ray technician at Brockton Hospital and in mobile x-ray. He also worked as an installer and repairman for AT&T and later SBC.
John was the beloved son of Elaine Miller and her husband Arnold of E. Bridgewater and Francis "Bill" O'Donoghue and his wife Joanne of South Boston. Loving father of Karly and William "Billy" O'Donoghue of Merrimack, NH. Cherished brother of Nancy Drenga and husband Steven of Charleston, SC, Patricia Blake and husband Richard of Whitman, and Stephen O'Donoghue and wife Leigh. Nephew of Barbara and David Owens, Jean Springer, Rita Clifford and late husband Roger, Virginia O'Neil and John Keoughan, and Joan and James Murphy. Godson of Charles Leonard. John is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
John was an avid Patriots fan and dog lover. John will be greatly missed by many life-long friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM.
Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
