Roy David Whaley, 50, of Riverdale, formerly of Tifton, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at Southern Regional Health System in Riverdale. A visitation and family remembrance service will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2011, at the residence of Buddy and Carol Whaley, 50 Cotton Pointe Circle in Tifton.
Mr. Whaley was born on August 22, 1961 in Arkansas and was the son of Edward McConly Whaley, Sr. and Mandy Blair Whaley, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Lucille Balderas. He was a technical student.
Mr. Whaley is survived by two brothers and one sister-in-law, Edward “Buddy” Jr. and Carol Whaley of Tifton and Jessie Whaley of Bogalusa, Louisiana; four sisters, Minnie Stephens of Coleman, Florida, Irene Whaley Arellano of Albany, Kathy Whaley of Albany and Virginia Whaley of Albany.
