Mr. William C. Ambrozio, 91, formerly of East Taunton, passed away at the Oak Hill Golden Living Center, Middleboro, on Monday, October 10. He was the beloved husband of the late Fernanda (Silva) Ambrozio and the loving father of the late Louise (Ambrozio) Harkins. He was the son of the late Manuel and Mary (Vintro) Ambrozio, and the brother of the late Manuel and James Ambrozio. He is survived by his only grandson, Jeffrey Faria of Taunton
William was born and raised in Taunton and was known for his love of music, spending many hours after his retirement playing with his cousins and friends. He played for many years at the Double Twelve in East Taunton with his band, the Rhythmaires, and traveled throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island with them. He loved gardening and restoring old Model A’s.
William also leaves his sisters-in-law: Dorothy Ambrozio, Hilda A. Tucker, Diana Stein and Louise Bennett, and his brother-in-law, Edward Silva, as well as many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Thursday, October 13 at 9:30 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in the Holy Family Church, East Taunton, at 10:30 A.M. Interment will be in Pinehill Cemetery, East Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Visiting Hour will precede the funeral, Thursday, from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M.
