Ellen (Daggett) Frenette age 90, of Brockton died Sunday October 9, 2011 surrounded by her family at Epoch Senior Healthcare in Norton after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Henry E. Frenette. Ellen was born in Brockton a daughter of the late Albert and Nellie (Welch) Daggett and remained a lifelong resident of Brockton. She was a 1938 graduate of Brockton High School and was a resident at the Earle Street Senior Housing.
Ellen retired from the Howard Johnson Battle Street plant after many years. She was a member of the Mary Kennedy Senior Center, the Twentieth Century Catholic Club and former member of the Brockton Garden Club. In her free time, Ellen enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles and her flowers.
Ellen will be remembered as a strong willed woman who was loving and caring and especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was the mother of Linda A. Cerce and her husband Vincent Cerce, Sr. of Taunton, Richard L. Frenette, Sr. and his wife Maryanne of Brockton and the late Ronald H. Frenette, Sr. and his surviving wife Linda of Taunton. She leaves six grandchildren Vincent Cerce, Jr., Ronald Frenette, Jr., Tara Darling, Richard Frenette, Jr., Katie Russell and Kylee-Anne Frenette and eleven great grandchildren Kendra, Tony, Kristofer, Kolby, Addison, Luke, Marissa, Rebecca, Kevin, Aubree and Bella. She was the sister of the late Edward, Mary and Albert Daggett and leaves many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday 5-8 pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Friday at 8 am followed by a Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
