Obituary

Flynn, Patrick D. "Gunny" of Quincy, formerly of Everett and Chelsea, passed away October 9, 2011 at the age of 74.

Patrick proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for 17 years including his service in Vietnam. Following his military service, he worked for the Postal Service for many years. He was a member of the Nickerson Post, #382 in Squantum.

Beloved husband of Elaine (Hughes) Flynn. Loving father of Diane Dittilio and husband Mario of Deltona, FL, Daniel Noble and wife Theresa of Abington, and Kelly Minichello and husband Michael of Norwell. Devoted "Papa" of Peter Penwarden; Daniel & Alexander Noble; and Julia & Michael Minichello. Great "Papa" to Alecsis, Peter Jr., and Kayla Rose Penwarden. Brother of the late Phillip Flynn, U.S. Army recipient of 2 Silver Stars, Daniel Flynn, Mary Flynn, and Marjorie Flynn. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM.

Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45 PM.
