LAWRENCE, MASSACHUSETTS-Doris Trudel, 78, a resident of Lawrence, Massachusetts, Died on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at the D’Youville Manor Senior Care in Lowell, MA.
She was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on December 17, 1932 to Ernest and Eva (Bergeron) Trudel. Educated in St. Ann’s Grammar School, and a graduate of St. Ann’s High School. She graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing in Lowell, MA & then she received her Bachelors degree from St. Anselm’s College in Manchester, NH. Ms. Trudel worked in the Newborn Nursery in the Maternity Ward at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lowell, Massachusetts for over 40 years until her retirement. She loved to travel, knitting, and loved to put jig saw puzzles together.
She was a member of St. Rita’s Womens Club in Lowell, MA. and the D’Youville Ladies Guild. She was also a longtime parishioner of St. Patrick Church in Lawrence, MA.
Survivors include her brother Leonel Trudel of Methuen, MA. Her cousins, Joseph Bourque of Salem, NH, Cheryl Bourque of Hudson, NH, Linda Avery of Salisbury, NH, and Joyce Lyons of Tuscon, Arizona her long time best best friend Annette Lachapelle of Dracut, MA and many friends. She is predeceased by her brothers Robert and Alcide Trudel.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 11:00AM in St. Patrick Church in Lawrence, MA. A burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
