CAROLYN J. (METTEN) AMIS, “JO” 54, passed away on October 8, 2011.
She was a former employee of Norton Hospital, and a member of Ninth & O Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry W. Amis, and her parents, Joseph J. & Dorsey Metten.
Survivors include her sisters, Cheryl Thomas and Debbie Williams, who was her twin, her soulmate, and her caregiver; her brother, Joseph “Johnny” Metten; beloved nephews, Jimmy(Julie), Chris (Trisha),and John G. Metten; five nieces and nephews; nine great nieces and nephews; and her companion, Ed Hastings.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 – 9 p.m. Monday.
