Obituary

NATICK: Arthur J. Leslie, 91, died peacefully in the comfort of his family on Friday, October 7, 2011 following a period of declining health.

He was born in Everett on June 19, 1920 the son of the late Arthur W. Leslie and Mary (McLeod) Leslie.
Arthur was the devoted father of Joan Robbins and her husband Richard Robbins of Natick; Mary Heinold of Grafton and Patricia Wilson and her husband Michael Wilson of Effingham, N.H. He was the beloved grandfather to 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was the loving husband of the late Catherine L. “Kay” Leslie who died in October of 2009.
Arthur has been a resident of Natick for nearly 60 years with his wife Kay where they raised their daughters. He served his country proudly with the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Arthur received his Electrical Engineering Degree from the Franklin Union Technical Institute of Boston in 1943. He had a long and distinguished career as an electrician with the A.J. Wolfe Company, Electrical Engineers and Contractors as a field superintendent and vice president. Arthur was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 103. He was an avid yachtsman and past member of the Watertown Yacht Club. He was a long time communicant at St. Zepherin Church. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all the lives that he touched.

Visitations will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the Bryant Memorial Chapel of the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Cochituate Village, Wayland.

His Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 10:00 am at Parish of the Good Shepherd at St. Zepherin Church, Route 27, Cochituate Village, Wayland.

Interment will follow in the Leslie family lot in St. Patrick Cemetery in Natick.

In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorial gifts in his memory may be sent to The Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal Road, Watertown, MA 02472.
