
Mary J. (Meaney) Pettee, of Medford, died peacefully at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. She was 77.
Born and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late David and the late Mary (McCaigue) Meaney. A Medford resident for nearly 50 years Mary served as a major administrator and taxation specialist for the Department of Revenue for 40. She also served for 12 years with the US Navy Reserve. Although she was an accomplished professional, Mary was devoted to her family and friends, always finding time to be with and travel with those she loved.
The beloved wife of Paul E. Pettee, Mary leaves her children: Paul Pettee and his wife Elaine of Phoenix, AZ and Michelle Joslin and her husband Tim of Medford. Mary leaves two loving granddaughters: Abigail and Katherine Joslin and her siblings: Anne Droege, David Meaney, John Meaney, Kathy Santini and the late Joe Meaney.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday, October 11th at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery,
