Mrs. Rawls, a homemaker, was born in York Co., SC and lived in Grovetown, GA. She was a member of North Side Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC.
Family members in addition to her husband include three daughters: Sherry Ann Downey and husband Dr. Paul Downey of Athens, GA, Ellen Bashaw and husband SFC Jim Bashaw of Grovetown, GA, Carole Plyler and husband SSG Gary Plyler of Grovetown, GA; son: SSG Bobby G. Rawls, Jr. and wife Randi of Great Falls, SC; brother: Fred Steele and wife Jerry of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren: Eddie Shillinglaw, Brittany Wanck, Jamie Tucker, 1st LT Brandon Downey, Lindsey Cotter, Brianna Bashaw; great grandchildren: Serenity Shillinglaw, Kyrie Cotter, and Johnathon Cotter.
Graveside services will be held for the family and friends Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 12:00 noon at Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill, SC with Dr. Paul Downey officiating.
