Mollie M. Paul, 80, of Ocilla, died Friday, October 7, 2011, at the Fitzgerald Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 P.M. Sunday, October 9, 2011, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla with the Rev. Dr. Tony Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Ocilla Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Saturday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Paul was born August 19, 1931 in Irwin County to the late Eunice Maddox and was raised by her grandparents, Coy and Mary Maddox. She lived in Fitzgerald for the three years from Ocilla, graduating from Ocilla High School in 1953. Mrs. Paul was a homemaker and former Migrant Education Coordinator with the Irwin County schools. She was a member of the Ocilla Baptist Church and attended Arbor Baptist Church. Mrs. Paul was an avid flower gardener and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kim & Teresa Paul of Fitzgerald; daughter & son-in-law, Donna & Tony Roberts of Enigma; grandchildren, Amy Paul, Adam Paul, Alan Paul, Autumn Roberts and Mollie Roberts. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Alfred Paul and a daughter, Carolyn Paul
