Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday at 9 am. Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, N. Easton at 10 am. Burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday 5-8 pm.
Obituary
Mrs. O’Connell died Sunday at West Acres Nursing Home following a brief illness.
She was born in Boston daughter of the late Lawrence and Kathryn (Dailey) Loughlin and was a lifelong resident of North Easton. She was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School, Class of 1944 and received her degree from St. Mary’s College in South Bend, Indiana in 1948.
Before starting her family she had been a registered dietician at the Morton Hospital in Taunton. While her sons were in school she was a substitute teacher in the Easton Public Schools.
Mrs. O’Connell was a longtime communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in North Easton where she had taught CCD and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella.
She was the wife of 51 years of the late Philip O’Connell.She was the mother of Philip O’Connell, Jr. of North Easton and Peter O’Connell of Richmond, Virginia and grandmother of Florence, Christopher, Agatha, Benjamin and Timothy O’Connell.She is also survived by several nieces and nephewsShe was the sister of the late Dr. Leo Loughlin
