Freda (Menthopolis) Lambros, 87, of 72 West Main St., passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in University of Mass. Hospital, University Campus in Worcester.
Her husband of 53 years; Frank H. Lambros died in 2001.
She leaves one daughter; Louellyn Lambros and her son-in-law Ramiro Rivera of Scituate, two grandsons; Will and Ben, one sister; Mary Pappas of Ocala, FL.,and three nieces; Leslie and Dr. Laurie Manthos and Ellen Pontazis.
Freda was predeceased by three brothers; Charlie, Leo and John.
She was born in Webster, the daughter of Pascal V. and Ellen (Goddas) Menthopolis and lived in Dudley most of her life.
Freda was the Dudley Town Clerk for 20 years and retired in 1993.
She and her husband Frank owned and operated Lambros Insurance and Real Estate for many years.
She was a member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Webster and was former director of the church choir.
She was a member and past president of Church Women United, also a member of the Choirsters, the former Hubbard Hospital Womens Guild, a founder of the Girl's Club, and numerous other organizations.
The Funeral will be Saturday, October 8, 2011, with a Service at 11 AM at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 35 Lake Parkway, in Webster, Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Calling Hours for Freda will be Friday, October 7, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM at the Robert J. Miller Funeral Home and Lake Chapel, 366 School St., Webster.
A Trisagion Service will be Friday at 7 PM in the funeral home.
