Trudy Akins, age 75, died at her home in Water Valley, MS on Tuesday, October 4, 2011.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 6:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Aven officiating.
Trudy was born July 15, 1936 in Chicago, IL to the late Authur Woelffer and Leona Poston Woelffer. She was a corrections officer and an EMT for the Shelby County Sheriff's Department in Memphis, TN. She was also a caregiver for the elderly. Trudy was an artist, an excellent cook and she enjoyed riding horses. She loved her family, her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with people.
Trudy is survived by her husband of 30 years, Jimmy Akins of Water Valley, MS; her former spouse, John L. Titman of West Memphis, AR; two daughters, Denise Davis of Olive Branch, MS and Susan Williams of Bartlett, TN; one son, John A. Titman of Bartlett, TN; a sister, Leona Patricia Beck of Grand Junction, CO; a brother, Arthur Woelffer of Chicago, IL; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
