Obituary

Mrs. Priscilla (Johnson) Wile, a longtime resident of Andover and beloved wife of the late Perry S. Wile, died at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, Massachusetts, on Monday morning October 3, 2011. She was 88 years old.
Born in Reading, Massachusetts, on February 11, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Ralph S. and Elizabeth (Gaw) Johnson. Priscilla grew up in the Greenwood section of Wakefield. The family moved to Andover in 1948. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Abbot Academy then Phillips Academy, until her retirement in 1988.

She will be sadly missed by her loving children; Richard A. and his wife Helena Grant of Methuen, David R. and his wife Catherine Grant of Salem, New Hampshire, Patricia W. and her husband Salvatore Nitto of Haverhill, Kathleen J. Wile of Methuen, Janice W. Long of Rowley, Marilyn W. Holmes of Andover, siblings; Elizabeth and her husband William Wass of Melrose, Mildred Mueller of New Port Richie, Florida, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, four great great grandchildres and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Barbara J. Wile and Grandmother of the late Scott S. Grant.

Her funeral services were private. Donations in Priscilla's memory may be made to the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Avenue, Haverhill, MA 01830, American Cancer Society, Spleen Street Framingham, MA.
