Lina J. Roberge, 92

Dateline: Sandwich, MA

Lina J. (Bouchard) Roberge, 92, of the Forestdale section of Sandwich, formerly of South Attleboro, passed away on Saturday October 1, 2011 at Falmouth Hospital in Falmouth. She was the beloved wife of Ralph F. Roberge, to whom she was wed on June 22, 1946.
Born in South Attleboro, MA on April 12, 1919, she was a loving daughter of the late Arthur T. and Blanche J. (Gagnon) Bouchard.
Lina grew up in South Attleboro and was educated in Pawtucket parochial schools. A resident of Sandwich for the past 26 years, she had formerly made her home for most of her life in South Attleboro.
A dedicated homemaker to her adoring family, when younger she had worked at the Mason Box Co. in North Attleboro. Mrs. Roberge enjoyed spending time with her family and her greatest passion in life was writing.
In addition to her beloved husband of over 65 years, she is survived by her devoted daughters; Elaine M. Cook and her husband Kenneth of North Kingstown, RI and Linda A. Schwarzenberg and her husband Matthew of Harrisville, RI. The dear sister of Rev. Lucien Bouchard, OMI of Miami, FL, Sister Jeanne Bouchard, SSCH of Cumberland, RI, Claire Fachada of Taunton, Rene Bouchard of Norwood and the late Joseph Bouchard, Clement Bouchard, Jeannette Bouchard and Alice Cloutier, Mrs. Roberge is also survived by her cherished 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Friday October 7th at 9:30 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield, followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday October 6th from 5-7 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flower’s Lina’s family has requested that donations in her memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.
