Lynda C. Whitten, age 56, died Friday, September 30, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.
Visitation will be held Tuesday,October 4, 2011 from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 4:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery in the Pine Flat area of Yalobusha county.
Lynda was born February 26, 1955 in Water Valley, MS to the late Elmer and Merle Walls Redwine. She worked for many years as a seamstress for Glenn Slack in Bruce, MS. Lynda enjoyed crocheting and watching soap operas. She loved horses and her cats. Lynda loved her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by one daughter, Ashley Nicole Whitten of Water Valley, MS; three sons, Daniel Brett Whitten (Cindy) of Southaven, MS, Farrell Keith Whitten (Jennifer) of Oxford, MS and Michael Shane Whitten of Oxford, MS; one brother, Danny Ray Redwine (Esther) of Bruce, MS; and six grandchildren, Daniel Brett Whitten, Jr., Crystal Faith Whitten, Aaron Whitten, Joshua Blake Whitten, Landon Chance Perry and Shana Elizabeth Whitten.
