Mary E. Kutcher, age 74
Retired Tewksbury Librarian

TEWKSBURY: Mary E. (Marshall) Kutcher, age 74, a resident of Tewksbury for 38 years, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Saints Medical Center.
She was the beloved wife of Gerald Kutcher, with whom she would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 14, 2012.
Born in Boston on October 22, 1936, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Barnes) Marshall.
Mary was raised in the Dorchester area of Boston, and graduated from Gates of Heaven High School.
Prior to her retirement in 2003, she was employed as a Librarian at the former Harold J. Patten Library and the current Tewksbury Library.
Mary resided in Weymouth and Woodstock, NY until moving to Tewksbury in 1973.
She enjoyed sharing times with her beloved grandchildren, was a voracious reader and also enjoyed gardening.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Bradley M. Kutcher and his wife Kimberly, Janet A. Horgan and her husband Thomas all of W. Newbury and Jill B. McCarthy and her husband Shaun of Westford; nine grandchildren, Michael, Jacqueline, Caitlin and Nicholas Kutcher, Daniel, Matthew and Caroline Horgan, Delaney and Timothy McCarthy; three sisters, June Costello and her husband Charles of Milton, Winifred Miller and her late husband Chester of Rockland, Carol MacGillvray and her husband Robert of Braintree; two brothers, William Marshall and his wife Dorothy of Canton and Paul Marshall and his wife Nancy of Braintree; her sister-in-law, Bea Kutcher and her late husband Myron of Woodstock, NY; her brother-in-law, Hy Comen and his late wife Elaine of Randolph. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Monday, Oct. 3, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 10:30 a.m., from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Friends of Tewksbury Library, 300 Chandler St., Tewksbury, MA 01876.
