Josephine R. Elias, 97, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011, surrounded by her loving family at the Sutton Hill Center.
Josie was a lifelong resident of Lawrence prior to moving to Methuen. She had been employed at the former Western Electric in North Andover for over 23 years prior to her retirement in 1978. Josie was a member of St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church where she was also active in the Ladies Sodality, she was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Josie was predeceased by her brothers: Schaff, Edward, and James, and also her sisters: Emily Hassy, Edith McAllister, and Rose Assad.
Josie's family would like to thank the staff at Sutton Hill Center and the Merrimack Valley Hospice for their care and attention shown to her.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church, Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
