Richard A. Tessier 60, of Rathbun St. died Wednesday at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Julia (Poulin) Tessier. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Roland and Beatrice (Jolly) Tessier. Dick worked for the City of Woonsocket for thirty years, having served as the Supervisor for the Sewer Department in recent years until his retirement two years ago. He was an avid sportsman, and enjoyed fishing, and hunting. He was a member of the Saturday Invitational Bowling League.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son Richard Tessier, and a daughter Brenda Lee Tessier both of Woonsocket, three brothers Roland "Pit" Tessier of NH, William Tessier and Robert Tessier both of Woonsocket, two sisters Lucille Tessier of FL, and Evelyn Lefebvre of Woonsocket, and three grandchildren, Tiffany, Brittany and Rylie Tessier. He was also the brother of the late Janet Tessier.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket.
