TEWKSBURY: Patricia A. (Cooke) Foran, age 68, a resident of Tewksbury for 40 years, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011 at home, surrounded by her family.
She was the beloved wife of John R. Foran, Sr. with whom she would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on November 9, 2011.
Born in Boston on January 16, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Patrick J. Cooke and the late Mary "Madeline" (Gibbs) Cooke.
Patricia was raised in Boston and graduated from South Boston High School in 1960.
Following graduation, she attended Newbury College.
Patricia enjoyed bowling, traveling to Florida and Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Terry A. Finneral and her husband Henry of Tewksbury, John R. Foran, Jr. and Christopher W. Foran and his wife Willa all of Boston; two grandchildren, Ryan J. and Caleigh A. Finneral both of Tewksbury; four brothers, John J. Cooke of Pembroke, James A. Cooke and his wife Katherine (Grafton) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Thomas L. Cooke and his wife Carol (Holt) of Tewksbury and Robert F. Cooke and his wife Sheila (Donahue) of Carver; two sisters, Mary M. Aronofsky and her husband Joseph of Micco, FL and Margaret Earnest and her husband Michael of N. Ft. Myers, FL; two sisters-in-law, Maureen (Donahue) Cooke of Winter Springs, FL and Sandra (Smith) Cooke of Quincy; also many nieces and nephews.
Patricia was the sister of the late Gerald E. and William P. Cooke.
At Pat's request there will be No Calling Hours. Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 3, at 10 a.m. at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury.
