Doris “Dolly” Iodice, 91, of Londonderry, NH, died Sunday September 25, 2011 in her home. She was born in Boston, MA on July 25, 1920, a daughter of the late Hugh and Nellie (Wildigg) Ferris. A resident of Londonderry for the past 56 years, she formerly lived in Chelsea, MA. Mrs. Iodice was a longtime active member of the Church of the Transfiguration in Derry and was the past treasurer for the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Derry. She also enjoyed line dancing.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Papillon and husband Gerard of Londonderry, and Karen Iodice of Manchester, NH; one son, Anthony F. Iodice of Londonderry; two granddaughters, Christine Papillon Vance of Fremont, NH, and Ezabella Iodice of Londonderry; one grandson, Jeffrey Papillon of Vernon, CT; two great grandsons, Jeffrey Papillon and Cooper Papillon, both of Vernon, CT; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony Iodice in 1998.
Follow cremation, a calling hour was held on Saturday, October 8th from 1 - 2pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A memorial service followed at 2:00 pm in the funeral home. The burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery, Mammoth Rd., Londonderry.
