Olga Kontoulis, 86

Olga (Pitsari) Kontoulis, 86, of Norton formerly of Worcester, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday September 27, 2011 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
Born in Tsamantas, Filiates, Greece on March 25, 1925, she was a dear daughter of the late Dimitris and Milia (Stoliaki) Pitsari.
Olga grew up and was educated in Greece. From 1965-1968 she lived in Germany and while living in Germany had worked in a pasta factory. In 1969, she moved to the United States, first settling in Worcester and was employed at a local gun manufacturing company.
A devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mrs. Kontoulis moved to Norton in 1984. She loving watching her grandchildren grow up and being a special part of their lives. She also enjoyed helping in the operation of her families business, the Norton House of Pizza.
Olga enjoyed being outdoors and especially working in her garden. She loved spending time in the presence of her family and will always be remembered for her exceptional cooking skills and the pleasure she received each morning watching the sun rise, while enjoying her Greek coffee.
She is survived by her beloved and devoted children Panagiotis “Peter” Kontoulis and his wife Anastasia of Norton, Paraskevi Lenis and her husband Andonis of Greece and Eleni Anifantis and her husband Spiros of Norton. The dear sister of the late Gregous Pitsari, she is also survived by her cherished and adoring grandchildren; George, Lola and Barbara Kontoulis, Toula Ibrahim, Nikoletta and Nikos Anifantis, and Anna, Olga, Filio, Spiros and Dimitris Lenis as well as her great grandchildren Tia, Johnnie, Christina, Angelo and Vasilis.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday October 3rd at 11:00 A.M. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday October 2nd from 4-7 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
