BEVERLY: Mary Ann (Russo) Field, 91, died Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at her home following a brief illness. She was the wife of Kenneth C. Field.
Born in Beverly on March 14, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Emanuel and Maria (Gallanti) Russo. A lifelong resident of Beverly, she was a graduate of Beverly High School class of 1938.
Mary was employed in the food service department at Endicott College in Beverly for many years. She enjoyed yard sales, antiquing and she especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of sixty-eight years, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia A. and James M. Mullins of Beverly; two grandchildren, Laurie and her husband, Joseph Occhipinti of Clarion, PA and Michael and his wife, Nadine Field of New York City; two great-grandsons, Paul Occhipinti of Clarion and Benjamin Field of New York City; a sister, Margaret Scanlon of Danvers and several nieces and nephews, including Bob Russo, Jr. and Patricia Cassola both of Beverly, Donna Lombardo of Saugus and Joan Schwartz of Coral Springs, FL. She was also predeceased by six brothers, John, Michael, Phillip, Anthony, Frank and Robert Russo, Sr.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot Street, Beverly at 12 noon. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 – 12 noon. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice and to practice random acts of kindness to one another.
