TEWKSBURY: Roberta "Allison" (Veino) Joyce, age 59, a resident of Tewksbury for 36 years, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Blaire House of Tewksbury.
She was the beloved wife of Patrick J. Joyce, with whom she celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on August 24, 2011.
Born in Cambridge on November 30, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. Veino and the late Catherine E. (Gill) Veino.
Allison was raised in Somerville, attended Somerville schools and graduated from Somerville High School in 1969.
Prior to her illness, she was employed as a dental assistant by Drs. Cooper & Spiller in Tewksbury.
Allison was a past member of the League of Women Voters.
She enjoyed numerous activities including bowling, reading, traveling to Maine and Nova Scotia, but her greatest love was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Allison is survived by one daughter, Colleen A. Binette and her husband Andre of Hampton, NH; one son, Patrick M. Joyce and his companion Martha Karoutas of Tewksbury; seven grandchildren, Robert Harkins, Stefanie, Joe, Jon, Stacie, Ryan and Nicholas Binette; one great granddaughter, Kylie Fournier; two sisters, Jo-Anne M. Mills of Tewksbury and Catherine E. Tatosky and her husband James of Billerica; also many nieces and nephews.
Allison was the grandmother of the late Rebecca-Lynn Harkins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or New England Hospice.
At the request of the family funeral services will be held privately.
