Jacqueline S. (Mandeville) Nys 70, of Camp Dixie Rd. died Sunday in Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Nys. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Constance (Bibeault) Mandeville. She was a customer service representative for Amica Life Insurance Co, for ten years before retiring in 1999. Along with her husband she was the former owner of Nys Flowers, a family business that they ran for over twenty years. Jackie was a member of the Red Hat Club in Lincoln, the French Club at the Woonsocket Harris Library, and The Providence Mandolin Orchestra. In her youth, she was a former member of Junior Pioneers. She loved gardening, kayaking, and her grand-dogs, Casey, Blink, and Trick, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Jackie is survived by a son, John A. Nys of Pascoag, a daughter Suzanne M. Harnois and her husband Mark of Harrisville, and her two grandchildren, Nicole and Jeremie Harnois.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone. Visiting Hours are Thursday 4-8 PM.
