Gertrude J. (MacPherson) Nordin, age 89, passed away on September 23, 2011 at the Life Care Center of Plymouth. Trudy was the devoted friend of the late Charles A. Frederickson. She is survived by her sister Marie Craig of Chilliwack, BC and several nieces and nephews. Gertrude was the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Don MacPherson and is predeceased by her sisters, Helen Crocker of FL, Alice Murrant of Sault St. Marie, Ontario, Shirley McCarthy of FL and Anna Dorman of Toronto, Ontario and her 2 brothers Sandy and Duncan MacPherson of Sault St. Marie, Ontario. She was born in Glacier Bay, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia came to the U.S. in 1962 and has lived in Weymouth for the last 26 years. Trudy was a cashier in the Shaw’s Super Market in Hanson for 22 years. She loved water color painting, reading and trips to Florida. Visiting will be at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Thursday September 29 from 6 to 6:30 P.M. immediately followed by a Memorial Service at the Funeral Home at 6:30 P.M.
