O'Neill, William R. of Quincy, February 24, 2004.

Beloved husband of Carol A. (VanBoom) O'Neill of Quincy. Loving father of William R., Jr. and his wife Adele of Hanover and Mark F. and his wife Adina of Milton. Brother of Charles F., Herbert J. and Mildred Hogan all of Quincy, and Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Buckley of South Boston. Loving "Papa" of Chloe and Nathan.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Friday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Mary's Church, Quincy at 10 AM.

Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30 PM.

Mr. O'Neill was a past president of the Retired Transit Workers of America. In 1968 and '69, he was a member of Commanders of Carmens Post #3403. William also belonged to the VFW Post 561 and the Fitzgerald Post. He worked as an MBTA bus operator for 32 years, retiring in 1991. He also served in the U.S. Army in the early 1960’s.
