METHUEN: Peter H. Williams, 57, died unexpectedly on September 21, 2011 in Methuen. He was born in Waltham on April 21, 1954 the son of Jack A. Williams of Wayland and the late Barbara G. (Akers) Williams.
Besides his father, Peter is survived by two sons, Christopher G. Williams, his wife Meghan and their son Jack R. Williams all of Beverly and David J. Williams of Reading. He was the brother of Marilyn L. Williams and her husband William F. Sullivan of Litchfield, NH; Edward R. Williams and his friend Jackie P. Averill of Wayland; Thomas M. Williams and his wife Dale of Tyngsboro and the late Guy A. Williams.
Peter has been a resident of Methuen for the past 6 years and previously resided in Reading. He spent his formative years in Weston and graduated from Weston High School with the Class of 1973. He attended the Mass. College of Pharmacy. For several years he was a computer assembler for IPL Systems in Waltham, the Product Supervisor for Helitron in Medford, was with Lightolier of Wilmington and recently as a machine technician and foreman with SHEP Co. in Lawrence.
Peter enjoyed being in the outdoors and especially loved camping and fishing. He was an avid reader and a collector of coins. He enjoyed all Boston sports teams and was a New York Giants fan. He was a devoted and loving son, father and brother to his family and will be greatly missed by them.
There will be no family visitations. A Memorial Service celebrating Peter’s life will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church, 657 Boston Post Rd, Weston.
In lieu of flowers, his family suggests that memorial gifts in Peter’s memory may be sent to the Andover Educational Fund, POB 32, Andover, Maine 04216, ATTN Sharon Hutchins and would be appreciated.
