Mrs. Evelyn King Whipple
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, September 24, 2011 at her residence, Mrs. Evelyn King Whipple, 86 of Augusta.
Mrs. Whipple was a native of Pascoag, Rhode Island but lived in Augusta for the last 50 years. In Rhode Island she was a member of the Rhode Island Honor Society. In Augusta, she was retired after 33 years of service as a program analyst with the Civil Service at Fort Gordon where she received numerous awards for her service. She was a member of the St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary since 1988. She was also a volunteer with Catholic Social Services. She also volunteered for the Richmond County Adult Literacy Program for a number of years.
Family members include son: Michael E. Whipple; daughter: LuAnn W. Goolsby
Grandchildren: Andrew J. Whipple, Christopher L. Goolsby, Evelyn G. Coile, Jeremy L. Whipple; great grandchildren: Zachary A. Whipple, Jackson Whipple, Nathan P. Whipple, Clay and Aiden Coile and Chastity J. Goolsby.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Minister Mike McCormick officiating.
