Edna Jessie-Emmetsberger, 100, of Louisville, passed away peacefully, Thursday, September 22, 2011.
She was born in Adair County to Alice and Henry Roach.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, James T. Jessie; children, Charles and Connie Jessie; granddaughters, Debbie Jessie and Tammy Marrs; and great grandson, Aaron Marrs.
She is survived by husband of 55 years, John T. Emmetsberger; children, Betty Spear (Barry), Donnie Jessie (Denora) and Doris Kaberle; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, including special niece, Dorothy Garnes.
Her service will be 10am Sunday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Burial will take place at 2:30 EST (1:30 CST) in Moore Cemetery, Prices Creek Road, Gradyville, KY. Visitation will be Saturday 3-8pm at the funeral home.
