Cleveland, TX---Mrs. Annette Kell King, 96, former longtime resident of Augusta and widow of the late Paul Bennett King, entered into rest on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Kingwood Medical Center, Kingwood, Texas.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011, at 2:00 PM in Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Reverend Don Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Survivors include her daughter, Judith Churchill and husband, Phil of Columbus, GA. ; a son-in-law, Carl McGowan of Evans, GA; four grandchildren, Tara McGowan Colclough and husband, Matt of Columbia SC. , Kell McGowan of Alpharetta, GA., Philip Churchill Jr. and wife Kim of Austin, TX., and Lindsay Annette Churchill of Austin TX.; two great grandchildren, Holden Colclough and Anna Lee Colclough. She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Paulette McGowan.
A native of Bairdstown, GA. Mrs. King was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard Kell and sister of the late James (Bud) Kell and Late Janie Bell Kell. She had lived in Augusta since 1943. Mrs. King was a member of First Christian Church, and the Dorcas Bible Class, where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years and served on the church board.
