In Hyannis, Ma September 19, 2011 Gerald D. Puccini died at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis at the age of 65. Born in Taunton, Gerald was the son of the late Julio and Clotilda (Bisio) Puccini. Gerald was the loving and devoted husband of his high school sweetheart Joan C. (O’Hearne) Puccini for over forty three years. He was a graduate of Coyle High School in Taunton class of 1964 then SMU Dartmouth class of 1968 where he received his bachelors degree and his master degree at Bridgewater State Collage along with his CAGS. He was a retired principal for James L. Mulcahey Middle School for twenty years and a teacher for the City of Taunton for seventeen years retiring in 2004. Gerald was in the US Army Reserves for seven years and a member of the Mass Teachers Association. He was a class officer at Coyle High School and was a star football player and track star. He also was the freshman football coach at Coyle High School in 1968. He enjoyed Gardening, local history, all local sports teams and especially Cape Cod. Gerald was the loving father of Kathryn Boltz and her husband Brent of Yarmouth and Lisa McCusker and her husband Tim of Reading. Grandfather of Alexa, Avery, Sean Boltz all of Yarmouth and Clare and William McCusker of Reading. Brother of Richard Puccini and his wife Ellie of Yarmouthport. Nephew of Peter Bisio of Mashpee. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Friday, September 23rd at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Taunton at 9:30 AM. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 5-8 PM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
